PHYTOBS-Network is a French national network of microphytoplankton monitoring deployed around French coast in many sites and supported by Ifremer, CNRS and Universities. A common protocol is applied for sampling, analysis and taxonomic classification. Physicochemical parameters associated to each sample site are available on the database. The physicochemical parameters are acquired by Ifremer or by the SOMLIT network (www. somlit.fr) depending on the site considered.

PHYTOBS-Network has been labellised as a SNO (Service National d'Observation - National Observation Service) in 2018.
